round off

13 Sep

Hi my team members. How is your day? pretty good I suppose.

Round off to the nearest 10
1. To round off to the nearest ten, we look at digit to the right of 10.
is it 5 or more???????
In the number 389, the digit is bigger than 5, so we add 1 to the digit in ten place
Omit any number to the right of 10 place.
389 is 390 when rounded off to the nearest ten.

Remember :
The rule is – if the first or two digit to the right of the rounding place is:
5 or 50 or more, round up
else, round down
Example:
1 653 is 1 650 when rounded off to the nearest ten.
53 745 is 53 750 when rounded off to the nearest ten.
