Hi there…
A set is a collection of individual elements in the domain
HOw if I said A SET is a collection of things or objects, for instance a FISH in the A Pond, many fruit is a basket, A Group of Children, A group of wild animals and so on.

Can You give me an example of A SET?

A set can be described in a number of different ways. The simplest is to list up all of its members if that is possible. For example {1, 2, 3} is the set of three numbers 1, 2, and 3

OPERATION ON SETS

1. Suppose set is GIVEN
2. We need to classify something within A SET or to DEVISE A SET for some reasons

FORexample :

S= All students are in your class ( a set is defined)
we need to classify all the student into a different groups
A= A group of students love math
B= A group of students love english

QUESTION:
1. can we separate the Group totally into group of students who love math and another group of students who loves english?
it depends on …………
whether or not exist the relationship between A group of students who loves math and a group of students who loves english
(there is a group of student who love both math and english)….it is called Intersection. On contrary, there is no group of students who love both math and english….it is called mutually exclusive

1. MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE
please hav a look this example, A SET of a group of students is defined. we interested to divise the group into a female group of student and male group of students (I hope there is no intersection).

there is exist a relationship between a group of students who loves dancing and who loves sports
